Why Life Planning
We call it Life Planning because what’s really important isn’t your money, it’s your life.
We engage in the life planning process because we believe that advisers should first discover a client’s most essential goals in life before formulating a financial plan, so a client’s finances fully support those goals. Traditionally financial advisers have focused on the numbers—budgeting, investments, taxes, or insurance–without exploring the broader context. We approach clients from a holistic or whole person perspective. We recognize that for every action there is a reaction and we recognize the importance of understanding how life syncs for each client. We know that life’s purpose is different for each of us and seek to explore what is most important by asking questions like:
“If you had more time or money, what would you do?”
“What do you want to accomplish or attain so you will feel that you’ve had a life well-lived?”
“What moves, touches, or inspires you?”
When we understand who you truly are we can better craft the plan that will incorporate the more tangible elements of life into a plan to create the life that works for you.
